Seamax Commercial Grade 2 Part Marine Adhesive for Inflatable Boats (PVC 250ml 2 Part Glue)

OPTIMAL USE:

For the best results when gluing, the relative humidity should be less than 60%, and the ambient air temperature should be between 18°C to 25°C (65°F to 77°F), with the work area not in direct sunlight. Clean the patching area on the boat as well as the contact side of the patch, and it is best to use M.E.K. (Methyl Ethel Ketone) patching solvent and cleaner.

WARNING:

The product contains Polyurethane. M.E.K. is harmful if inhaled and can cause eye irritations. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness and cracking. Keep away from sources of ignition and do not smoke. Do not breathe vapor or spray. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of fresh water and seek medical attention. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Do not work near open flames, sparks, or other heat sources.

STORAGE:

The glue and all chemical materials are dangerous goods and should be kept out of the reach of children. Store them in a cool and safe spot to maintain product quality for up to 3 years. Mix 5% hardener (treatment) into the glue before use. In cold weather (10°C-15°C) or high humidity (50-75%), you can add up to 10% hardener, but do not exceed a 10% mixture. M.E.K. is the thinner for PVC glue. If the glue hardens, you can add up to 10% MEK to reactivate it. The glue mixed with hardener can be kept for up to 6 hours.

APPLICATION:

Use a small painting brush to apply 1-3 layers of glue on both material surfaces. Wait 5 minutes between applications to allow the glue to dry, and then attach the two pieces of material together. Once you have applied the patch, work from the center out with something like a teaspoon to force out any air bubbles and then apply pressure to the repaired area for at least 24 hours. Wait 48 hours for the glue to cure before using.

For a better result, use a 2-part glue (glue and hardener) to ensure the overall quality of the repair and extend the life of the bonding. For any repairs related to air leaks, please use a 2-part glue.

Glue Layer Application: - 1-2 layers on new fabric surface - 2-3 layers on old fabric surface - 3-4 layers for wood or plywood surface - 2-3 layers for parts or aluminum surface

Only mix the amount of glue you require for the repair. Seal the bottle right away and store it in a cool area so that it may be used again. If the hardener turns to crystals or gets sticky, it is no longer usable. To clean the area that needs to be repaired, use Methyl Hydrate, Acetone, or MEK.
