The new ACR ResQFlare with Distress Flag is a replacement for vessels required to carry USCG flares. The ResQFlare and included Distress Flag are a safe substitute for pyrotechnic flares, providing a bright SOS strobe light in all directions, visible over 6 miles. With user-replaceable C-cell alkaline batteries, the ResQFlare offers an operational life of over 20 hours at 75 candela, more than 3 times the USCG requirement.

The ResQFlare and Distress Flag, when carried together, qualify as a replacement for USCG pyrotechnic flares in the U.S. The device is waterproof (IP67) and automatically rights itself and floats when in the water, without the need for a separate buoyancy or flotation ring. The bright, 360-degree visible light is certified by the USCG as a Nighttime Visual Distress Signal, while the included Distress Flag is USCG-certified as a Daytime Visual Distress Signal.

The Boat Flare Kit includes the ACR ResQFlare and Distress Flag, as well as additional safety and signaling devices. The kit contains the ACR RapidDitch Dry Bag, a convenient and compact storage solution for survival gear, and the ACR C-Strobe, an LED life jacket emergency signal with strobe, steady-on, and SOS modes. The kit also includes a daytime signal mirror, which harnesses the sun to aid in location.
