Installation takes only a few minutes. If the shaft is slimmer than 1 1/8" (1.125"), double-sided mounting tape is provided in the packaging to shim a thin shaft. If there is insufficient clearance between the shaft and the prop, simply flip the rudder upside down - it will perform the same while allowing the prop to spin freely without interference.
